Confessions of a Pastor - Part THREE

This is the third of a series of post under the theme "confession of a pastor." My hope is that I'm not alone. That you can not only relate, but you will find encouragement and strength as well.

My hope wains
I look at our world. I look at my city. I look at my co-workers. And I see people far from God...and content with where they are. I have the Hope of the world but the world could care less. After rejection and disinterest...my hope wains. There's times I just want to throw in the towel and say "there's no way to reach this culture". My hope wains.

Maybe your there as well. A feeling like the world is beyond hope.

I read this this morning. "Love Never Fail" And if God's love never fails, then hope should never fail.

Isaiah 59:1 "Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.

God, help me believe that your saving, drawing, and convicting power can still work today.
